![]() ![]() Like theCincinnati Comic Expo, Derby City puts the focus firmly on comics and their creators and I had a blast seeing old friends and making new ones. I can’t think of a better way to escape this sweltering heat wave than with a trip to a Comic Con and that’s what I did last week when I pushed my on-her-last-legs car (“Don’t worry, she’ll hold together….Hear me, baby? Hold together!”) to Louisville for Derby City Comic Con. This week alone we announced these exciting guests:Īrcana Publishing, with CEO Sean O’ReillyĪnd they join the following amazing creators, announced earlier: I’m excited to announce that this year we have broken through to a new level on our Guest List! Where else can you come face to face with your favorite creators, shop for a huge range of books and other goodies, and discover the wealth of new talent that’s out there? Sadly, I can’t go to ALL the cons, so I am determined (some might call me obsessed!) to insure that the Cincinnati Comic Expo has an awesomely diverse pool, no, make that a lake, no, an OCEAN of comic creators and vendors. I not only love directing the Cincinnati Comic Expo, I’m also a huge fan of attending as many conventions as I can get to. The Cantina won’t even be able to handle you. Dude knows how to get a geeky party rolling. Put yourself on your fave comic book cover or another awesome pic!Īnd of course, dancing! To the tunes spun up by your DJ Moff, Ryan Glitch. The Green Screen photography of Inks by Cheree. She’s the Catwoman in this pic:Īmazing Raffles, with t-shirts, autographed celeb photos, and great art as prizes! Jen Pilott of Fabulous Faces by Jen (who is also a face painter for Cirque du Soleil) will paint a superhero costume of the Expo’s fans’ choosing onto Hailey. Modeling group Comic Con Cuties is sending one of their models–Hailey Scott–for live body painting. Ryan is our DJ, a job he has the skillz for, having DJ’d for Fan Expo and Star Wars Celebration.īut dancing to awesome mixes is only one of many attractions at our Geek Prom.
